Mr. Hansen has 12 years of transportation research experience with the Transit Mobility program at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), focusing on best practices for public transportation agencies, innovative practices in on-demand transportation, accessibility to mobility options for persons with disabilities, performance measurement and cost allocation, and analysis of transit agency operational and financial data. He frequently leads work with the Texas Department of Transportation’s Public Transportation Division (TxDOT PTN) that provides technical assistance to small urban and rural transit agencies across the state of Texas, including topics related data reporting, service capacity scenarios, and tool development. Mr. Hansen annually leads the quality control review of data reported by state-funded transit districts in Texas to TxDOT PTN as well as rural NTD reporting. He led the development the Two-Variable Cost Allocation Calculator for National RTAP, which provides a tool for rural transit agencies and transportation programs to allocate costs across their programs and services.
