Improving mobility in the rural Shenandoah Valley

KFH Group was hired by the Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission to assess the feasibility of public transportation in Shenandoah County. Through stakeholder engagement, a community survey, demographic and land use analysis, and thoughtful route planning, we developed a deviated fixed-route service along the U.S. Route 11 corridor, connecting the County’s key population centers. The resulting service, branded ShenGO, now provides over 1,500 passenger trips per month.
