Dr. Hough is a Senior Transportation Planner with 30 years of research and practical experience in bus transit planning, operations and research. Her background includes being the Director of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute’s Small Urban and Rural Center on Mobility and as an Associate Professor of Transportation at North Dakota State University. Dr. Hough also served as Transit Intelligent Vehicle Initiative Interim Director at the Federal Transit Administration where she directed the National Transit Intelligent Vehicle Initiative (IVI) Program. She has served as a Panel Member on multiple TRB NCHRP/TCRP panels. She currently serves as Chair of TRB's AP055 Standing Committee on Rural, Intercity Bus, and Specialized Transportation.
